FAQ

Q: When do I need to book?

A: You should ensure you have your date for the wedding, that the ceremony venue is booked and that the reception venue is booked. Those three things assure you that the wedding is going to go ahead on that day. The next thing to book is the photographer, as he will preserve your memories, and it's best to book early to avoid disappointment. Twelve months may seem a long time but you will be surprised how quickly it goes!

Q: How long do you stay?

A: I arrive one hour before your wedding and leave as you go to have your sit-down meal.

Q: How do we book you?

A: Contact me and check that I'm available on the day in question. A one hundred pound deposit will reserve the day. The remaining balance is due in two instalments - 50% of the balance is due 3 months before the wedding date and the remainder is due 14 days before the wedding.

Q: Can I buy just a disc of photographs?

A: Yes you can and they are yours to print from.

Q: Will you photograph the first dance?

A:Yes, we can accommodate the first dance for a small extra fee of fifty pounds, we will arrive 15 minutes before the first dance and leave 30 minutes afterwards.

Q: What are your package prices?

A: We don't have a set price for 30 or 40 photos in a run-of-the-mill album. We understand that everyone has a budget and we can tailor our services to your needs, whether you require just photographs without an album, photographs in an album or photographs on a disk, whether you require ten photographs or over a hundred. We can even provide an album at a later date.

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: If it rains the wedding still goes on and the photos will be taken in the venues that you have booked. (Omaga Photography cannot be held liable for the weather!)

Q: How far will you travel?

A: I have gone as far as Ibiza and I'm willing to attend weddings abroad as often as requested. We are based in Wigan and travel the length and breadth of the country for weddings. We like the personal touch and come and see you wherever possible, but if logistics make it difficult we will deal by Internet and phone, so don't let distance put you off! There is no charge for travelling in England.

Q: Are you the photographer?

A: Yes, I am the photographer and the owner and all the photos you see are mine.

Q: Do you have an assistant?

A: Yes, I have my wife Suzanne as my glamorous assistant! This makes the day flow quickly so that you don't spend too much of your day posing for photographs.

Q: Do you visit venues before the day?

A: Yes, if it's a venue we have not shot before we will call and have a look at it to ensure that the day goes smoothly.
